We are sad to announce that on September 10, 2021, at the age of 91, John Allen Mimms Jr. of Fountain Inn, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gwendolyn Walton Mimms; his parents, John Allen and Hazel Bennett Mimms; his stepchildren, John Nance (Lauris), Andrea Nance Bell (Herbert), Shari Gibbs (Steven) and James Nance (Candy); his sibling's children, Allene Heilman and Lawrence Ward; and his sister Margaret Mimms Ward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: The American Red Cross.
