She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Carlton and Julia Ratcliff Carlton; her husbands, Arland Vance and Joseph Staschak; her son Richard Vance; and her siblings, Helen Trinkle, JoAnn Lambert, Mildred Ball Bosh, Bill Carlton, Jim Carlton and Peggy Mullins.
She is survived by: her siblings, Jean Gillum of Mansfield, OH and Walter Carlton Jr. of Clintwood, VA.; her children, Judy Rainey of Simpsonville, SC, Lynn King of Largo, FL and Randall Vance of Indianapolis, IN; and her grandchildren, Scott King, Jamey King, Lisa Haasz, David Rainey (Shelley), Jessica Ebling, Tristan Vance, Taylor Vance, Sarah Vance, Allison Field and Leo Vance. She is also survived by her twelve great-grandchildren.
