He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Leroy Burchill and Marie Elizabeth Burchill (Heffernan). He is survived by: his wife Diane Burchill (Danner); his children, Michele Welsh (Robert) and Jason Burchill (Cynthia); his grandchildren, Grayson, Autumn, Garrett Welsh and Colin Burchill; his sister Mona Malliard (Jack); and his nieces, Cristina Hart and Monica Malliard.
