He was predeceased by : his parents, Eugene Joe Barbrey and Maude Cheek Barbrey; and his siblings, Earl Barbrey, Harry Barbrey and Ella Ruth Dawson.

He is survived by : his wife Lila Estelle "Patsy" Bridges Barbrey; his children, Al Barbrey and Pam Brennan (Jimmy); his grandchildren, Nye Brennan (Margaret) and Bergan Fudger (Trey); and his great grandchildren, Isora, Elisa, Holden and Weston.
