He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Raymond Laxton, Sr. and Opal Geneva Lequire; and his sister Lib Hughes. He is survived by : his wife Frances Neves Laxton; his children, Brad, Misty Laxton, Eddie, Stacy Laxton, Chad and Liz Laxton; his sister Joan Sumner; and his nieces and nephews, Savannah Laxton, Sarah Laxton, Lauren Laxton, Morgan Laxton, Emily Laxton and Levi Laxton.

Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, 950 Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
