Anita Hammett Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anita Hammett of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Turner and Louise Cook Turner; and her son Reverend Randolph Scott Hammett Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Randolph "Randy" Scott Hammett; her children, Chris Hammett (Gena) of Spartanburg and Julie Ann Gallman (Mark) of Gaffney; her daughter-in-law Melissa Hammett of Rock Hill; her sisters, Martha Leazer of Gaffney and Jane Owens; and her grandchildren, Holland Levine (Stephen), Tripp Hammett III (Emilee), Grant Hammett, Turner Hammett (Alma), Emily Hammett, James Sargent and Jordan Sargent (Karlie).
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Gaffney (200 N Limestone St, Gaffney, SC 29340). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
