He was predeceased by: his spouse Dale Perry McAbee; his parents, Boyce J. McAbee and Ruby Mullinax McAbee; his son Brian McAbee; and his brother Dickie McAbee.
He is survived by: his daughter Deidra Hummel (John) of Gaffney; his sister Judy Lanier (Wayne) of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Mikayla Hummel and Makenzie Hummel; and his great grandchild Triton Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
