It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Tate of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carolyn Tate to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Buford N. Holtzclaw and Argie H. Turner; her close friend Millie Donahue; her husband Miles Donald Tate, Sr.; her siblings, Joyce H. Monday and Raeford N. Holtzclaw; and her granddaughter Isabel Faith Garmroth.

She is survived by : her sister Martha Patrick (Shane) of Lake City, S. C.; her children, Nancy Tate of Spartanburg, S. C., Donnie Tate (Libby) of Gaffney, S. C. and David Tate (Patti) of Charleston, S. C.; her grandchildren, Neely Lashford (Thomas) of Simpsonville, S. C., Zachary Tate of Columbia, SC and Payton Tate of Charleston, S. C.; her great grandchild Lottie Clare Lashford; her niece Patsy Turner (S. C.); and her caregivers, Janet Winstead, Crystal Powell, Gabby Kirby and Taylor Crump.
