She was predeceased by: her husband Ernest Millard Owens; her parents, William Blanton and Alice Spencer Blanton; her son Mickey Joe Owens; her siblings, Melvin, James, Virgil, Doug, J. B., Tommy, Fred, Joe Blanton, Pearl McMurray, Gracie Moss and Mary Blanton; and her great grandchild Blair McDaniel.
She is survived by: her sons, Ricky Owens (Tina) of Gaffney and David Owens (Crystal) of Gaffney; her siblings, Reverend William Blanton of Gaffney, Sherwood Blanton (Hazel) of Gaffney and Nancy Manning of Gaffney; and her grandchildren, Greg Owens (Jennifer), BJ Owens, Crystal Pennington, Mindy Owens (Brian Hudson), Jeremy Owens, Derrick Owens (Nicole), Ally Pongrujipitiporn (Time) and Hunter Owens (Kaylee Littlejohn). She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the True Gospel Independent Baptist Church (312 Pondfield Rd, Gaffney, SC 29340).
