He was predeceased by: his father Jefferson Davis Blackwell; his brothers, Jefferson David Blackwell and Randall Dean Blackwell; and his niece Debra Schreyer. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Davis Blackwell; his sons, Charles Shannon Blackwell and Gregory Ray Blackwell; and his sisters, Patricia Jackson, Cathy Lyons and Mary Judd. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
