It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edward Maynor of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on June 23, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Charles Edward may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Charles Edward touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Arthur Maynor and Ruby Spencer Maynor; and his siblings, Carl Maynor, Carol Maynor and Shirley Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jo Jenkins Maynor; his daughter Tammy Marie Dill (Tracy) of Gaffney; and his siblings, Larry Maynor (Betty) of Gaffney, Ricky Maynor of Gaffney and Jean Lovingood of Gaffney.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Frederick Memorial Gardens (986 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
