He was predeceased by: his father Ricky Lanier Gay Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Crystal Watkins Gay; his mother Linda Sue Head Gay of Gaffney; his children, Phillip, Kaiden, Weston, Bailey and Madison; and his siblings, Ricky Lanier Gay Jr. of Gaffney and Teresa Thornley of Gaffney. He is also survived by five nieces; and two nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his mother, Linda Gay, 127 Goforth Drive, Gaffney, SC, 29340.
