He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Rhyne and Pansy Parvell Loftin Rhyne; his brothers, James D. Rhyne, Jack L. Rhyne, Ronald W. Rhyne and Donald L. Rhyne; his daughter-in-law Jeannie Rhyne; and his granddaughter Emily Caroline Rhyne.
He is survived by: his spouse Teldia Dobbins Rhyne; his sons, Richard S. Rhyne (Emberly) of Gaffney and Leigh B. Rhyne of Forest City, NC; his sister Connie Ruth Atkins (Christopher) of Belmont, NC; and his grandchildren, Katherine O. Clopton (Brandon), Joshua I. Rhyne (Anna Tolles), Brackston A. Rhyne and Rhodes R. Rhyne. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
