David Sweeney Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Sweeney of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on December 8, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Sweeney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Sweeney and Nora Sweeney (Burnett); his wife Clara Mae Sweeney (Richards); and his sister Irene. He is survived by: his brothers, Arthur Sweeney (Linda) of Winthrop and John Sweeney (Pam) of Potsdam; his daughters, Barbara Bryant (Tom) of Winthrop and Sueann Crowther (James "Bill") of Mauldin; his grandchildren, Joshua Bryant of Massena, Lucas Bryant (Mallory) of Winthrop, Jean "John" Tessier and Katherine "Katie" Howerton (Olivia) of Simpsonville; and his great grandchildren, Jaymi Spence, Ben Spence, Jake Bryant of Winthrop, CJ and Ava Howerton of Simpsonville.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Family's Home.
