He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Grace Cobb Blanton; his stepfather William "Bill" Blanton; his son Jackson Owensby of Gaffney; his siblings, Charles Chitty (Sharon) of Gaffney and Jackie Drake of Gaffney; and his nephews, Grayson Drake (Riley McCraw) and Conner Chitty (Kelsey Jones).
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
