He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ross and Florence Lynch Ross; and his sister Beverly Ross Gunter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Crepps Ross; his daughter Alison Fowler (Dennis E.) of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Lauren Fowler McKee (Michael) of Gaffney and Garret Ross Fowler of Gaffney; his great grandchild Mary Clarke McKee; his nieces and nephews, Linda Holder (Travis) of Sanford, NC, Pam Wachtel of Chapel Hill, Benny Crepps of Pittsboro and Chris Crepps of Virginia Beach; and his great-nephew Brent Holder.
