She was predeceased by: her husband Philip Whisenant; her parents, Reverend H. H. Ruppe and Ophelia Martin Ruppe; her son Steven Whisenant; and her siblings, Eloise Humphries, Juanita Holder, Elaine Atkinson, Millie Reynolds, Elizabeth Bridges, Lewis Ruppe, George Ruppe and Solon Ruppe.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Whisenant (Rae) of Pinehurst, NC and Linda Whisenant Wallace (Andy) of Gaffney; her sister Iris Ruppe Jackson (Gene) of Gaffney; her grandchildren, Joshua Wallace (Rebecca), Drew Wallace (Emily), Daniel Whisenant and Thomas Whisenant (Katlyn); her great grandchildren, Olivia Wallace, Zack Wallace, Parker Wallace, Duke Whisenant and Koe Payne; and her caregivers, Vivian Turner, Tracy Ruppe, Mary Perry, Lani Carpenter, Tatie Morgan and Jonathan Parker.
