It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Franklin Childers of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on January 26, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Powell Childers and Mae Lambert Childers; his sisters, Desiree Lightle and Sandra Meares; and his great grandchild Griffin Lancaster.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Harrill Childers; his children, Scott Childers (Anita) of Simpsonville, Tim Childers (Donna) of Gaffney, Hal Childers (Michelle) of Katy, TX and Lisa Lancaster (Rich) of Gaffney; and his grandchildren, Lauren Clayton (Barrett), Adam Childers, Matt Childers (Holly), Kaylin Harris (Josh), Bradley Childers, Joshua Childers (Izzy), Rachel Childers, Grace Childers, Noah Childers, Katie Burns (Kyle), Luke Lancaster (Maggie), Hannah Norris (Brady) and Emmie Sue Lancaster. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
