We announce the death of George Carver of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on October 2, 2026, at the age of 75. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas "Red" Carver and Mildred Lawson Carver; and his siblings, Judy McDaniel and John T. Carver. He is survived by: his wife Donna Simpson Carver; his children, David Paul Carver of Gaffney and Kandi Carver Turner (David) of Gaffney; his siblings, James "Jimmy" Carver of Gaffney, Harold Carver (Diane), Eddie Carver Sr. (Beverly) of Gaffney, Kathy Carver (John Davis) of Gaffney and Melinda "Linda" Queen (Terry); his grandchildren, Amber Dawne Ricks (Steven), Marissa Turner, Carver Ricks, Derral Ricks and Leland Holmes; his nephew Daniel Carver of Gaffney; and his sister-in-law Shelia Carver.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
