He was predeceased by: his wife Ruby Louise Durham Sparks; his parents, Joseph E. Sparks and Henrietta Banks Sparks; and his son Timothy William Sparks. He is survived by: his children, James Tony Sparks, Michael Sparks (Melanie) of Gaffney and Rachel Marie Sparks of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
