He is survived by: his parents, Mike Holmes and Patsy Hogan Holmes; his son Jake Holmes; his brother Steve Holmes; his nephew Tyler Holmes; and his close friend Shelly Renee Phillips.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel (211 E Frederick St, Gaffney, SC 29340).
