John Scruggs Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Scruggs of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on June 22, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Rogers Scruggs; his parents, Junie L. Scruggs and Mary Ellen Martin Scruggs; and his siblings, Max Scruggs, Ross Scruggs and Lunette Smith.
He is survived by: his children, Wesley Scruggs (Casey) of Charlotte, NC, Steve Scruggs of Gaffney, Tammie Roddy (Steve) of Chesnee and Melissa Kale (Randy) of Cumming, GA; and his grandchildren, Brittany Kale, Easton Kale, Brooke Kale, Brandy Kale, Austin Roddy, Luke Roddy, Grayson Scruggs, Cole Scruggs and Jack Scruggs. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the New Pleasant Baptist Church (242 New Pleasant Rd, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
