She was predeceased by: her husband John Baxter Wood Jr.; her parents, Charlie Nalley and Lula Mae Lee Nalley; and her sister Doris Kennedy. She is survived by: her children, Bruce Wood (Joan) of Gaffney, Chris Wood (Rachel) of Gaffney, Brian Wood (Tammy) of Gaffney, Stanley Wood (Rhonda) of Gaffney and Gina Mathis (Butch) of Gaffney; and her grandchildren, Jeremiah Wood (Catie), Bailey Finch (Eric), Joseph Wood, Hannah Brodziak (Conley), Spencer Wood (Maddie), Mary Beth Packard, Luke Wood, Abby Elliott (Tyler), Amanda Baer (Justin), Jamie Lyda (Andrew) and Zach Wood (Lyndsay). She is also survived by twenty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Grassy Pond Baptist Church (254 Grassy Pond Rd, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
