She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Bishop; her parents, John Claude Wright and Millie Virginia Peeler Wright; and her grandsons, Billy Blanton and Jason Smith.
She is survived by: her daughters, Martha Carr (Ricky) of Cowpens, Lynn Crowe of Cowpens, Brenda Painter of Gaffney and Kathy Smith of Gaffney; her siblings, David Wright of Gaffney and Sybil Alvis of Fort Bragg, NC; and her grandchildren, Karen Powell (Brent), Kevin Sparks (Leslie), Kelly Lee (Andrew), Scott Dover and Tracie Painter. She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Blakely Funeral Home (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blakely Funeral Home Chapel (1047 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
