She was predeceased by: her parents, James Homer and Minnie Lonie Ruppe; her husband Joe Dean Gibson; her daughter Donna Gibson Tessner; and her siblings, James, Billy Ruppe, Alpha Sisk, Inez Ruppe, Agnes Wallace, Eula Mae Johnson and Lunette Bridges.

She is survived by: her son-in-law David Tessner; her granddaughters, Jenna Tessner (Marvin) and Michelle Tessner Karagounis (Andy); and her great grandchildren, Lauren, Natalie, Madelyn, Katelyn Karagounis and Peter Karagounis. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
