She was predeceased by: her parents, Zollie Canipe and Lucile Southard Canipe; her children, Gary "Chip" Wilson Blanton Jr. and Melanie Ann Blanton Whisenant; and her sister Elaine Sicesloff.
She is survived by: her daughter Kimberly Lane Blanton (Carl E. Ramsey Jr.) of Gaffney; her son-in-law Kevin Whisenant of Gaffney; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth "Lib" Allen of Gaffney.
