She was predeceased by : her parents, Bob Childers and Doris Ledbetter Cobb; and her sister Leona Childers. She is survived by : her children, Danielle Waters of Gaffney, Diana Cody and Christopher Cody; her sisters, Barbara Mullinax (Roy) of Anderson, Jody Hamrick (David) of Mooresboro and Debbie Whelchel (Dwayne) of Gaffney; and her grandchildren, James Henderson, C. J. Waters and Jayden Waters (Kera Sellars). She is also survived by one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
