He is survived by: his wife Cynthia "Cindy" Jennings Patterson; his stepson Jeffrey Gettys of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Chase Gettys of Blacksburg and Brandon Gettys (Tori) of Blacksburg; his great grandchild Beckham Gettys; his sister Janet Leagon (Roger) of Blacksburg; and his sisters-in-law, Deborah Teasley (Chris) and Terry Johnson (late Ray).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the El Bethel Baptist Church (116 Billy Goat Bridge Rd, Gaffney, SC 29340). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
