With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Rita Johnson of Gaffney, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 28, 2025 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Rita Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Beaty Mitchell III and Betty Mae Baldwin Goins; and her granddaughter Arden Reese Bradley. She is survived by: her husband Don E. Johnson; her children, Ryan Johnson of Gaffney, Candyce Wood (Brent) of Gaffney and April Bradley (Robert) of Gaffney; her half-siblings, Bob Mitchell IV (Teresa), Larry Mitchell, Terry Mitchell (Andrea), Dale Goins (Peggy), Ron Goins (Roberta), Timothy Goins (Larrine) and Terrie Saunders (Dave); and her grandchildren, Turner Wood and Ethan Wood. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Frederick Memorial Gardens (986 Chesnee Hwy, Gaffney, SC 29341).
