With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ronald Dean Wilson of Gaffney, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Wilson and Ada Ratcliff Wilson; his wife Sybil Jolley; and his siblings, Gene Wilson, Paul Wilson, Vernon Wilson and Rachel Martin.
He is survived by: his daughters, Paula Pierce (Nathan) and Gilda Wilson; his stepchildren, John Jolley (Bonnie), Stanley Jolley (Penny) and Amanda Knowles (Fred); his siblings, Doug Wilson (Vacy), Donnie Wilson (Diane), Betty Blanton and Gladys Blackwell; and his grandchildren, Will Taylor, Jessica Taylor, Brooke Taylor, Amy Pierce, Chelsea Pelfrey, Daniel Knowles and Tiffany Jolley. He is also survived by 3 great-grandsons.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney (211 E Frederick St, Gaffney, SC 29340). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 20th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel (211 E Frederick St, Gaffney, SC 29340).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
