He was predeceased by: his father Jerry Wayne Johnson, Sr.; and his brother Jerry Wayne Johnson, Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Benton Rodgers of Greenville; his stepfather Bill Rodgers of Greenville; his children, R. J. Thompson of Gaffney, Brandon Johnson of Gaffney, Justin Johnson of Shelby, NC and Brittany Johnson of Gaffney; his siblings, Jerry Godfrey of Gaffney, Mindy Godfrey Needs of Mayo and Mary Mason of Gaffney; and his nephews, Nick Stowell and Nathan Stowell of Chesnee.
