He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Dianne Harris Owensby; his parents, David Fate Owensby and Gladys Odell Manis Owensby; his brother Hank Owensby; and his grandson Blake Owensby.
He is survived by: his children, Larry Owensby (Hope Rollins) of Gaffney and Lisa Schwendner of Gaffney; his siblings, Roger Owensby of Pacolet, Danny Owensby of Spartanburg, Jimmy Owensby (Louise) of Pacolet and Shirley Smith (Paul) of Spartanburg; and his grandchildren, Serenity Owensby, Thomas Owensby, Aydain Ingle, Jayze Blackwell, Carson Owensby, Noah Owensby and Piper Owensby.
