She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Boyd and Kinlea Biggs Amick; her husband Arthur Lester Newton; her son Woody; and her brother Johnny Amick.
She is survived by: her children, Art (Karen), George (Robin) and Chris (Tammy); and her sisters, Libby Jones Thomas and Becky Oliver. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
