He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward Blackmon and Emily Irene Dawkins Blackmon; his wife Helen Byrd Blackmon; and his brother Kenneth E. Blackmon. He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen I. Ellsworth (Shaun) of Swansea, SC and Deree B. Ward (Dave) of Hardeeville, SC. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
