It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winston Roosevelt Miles Sr. of Gaston, South Carolina, who passed away on April 21, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Jesse M. Miles and Cline Coogler Miles; and his siblings, Ruby Hornsby, Manuel Miles and Paul Miles.

He is survived by : his children, Lenora (Whitaker), Miles (Harold) and Winston R. Miles, Jr. (Barbie); his sisters, Annie Coward, Janie Sharpe (Jack) and Sandra Tucker; and his grandchildren, Candace Clarkson (Lucas), Taylor Whitaker (Michael), Amber Crolley (Justin), Madason Whitaker (Kam), Gracyn Whitaker (Austin), Sara Whitaker and Brantley Miles (Lexi). He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington (4720 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC 29073). A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel of Lexington (4720 Augusta Rd, Lexington, SC 29073).
