She was predeceased by: her parents, George Lambert of Washington and Laura Katherine Lambert; her husbands, Winston Avant and Bennie Wiggins; her siblings, Georgia Bell Moore, Bena Mae Warzon, Katherine Bauer, Douglas Lambert, Steven Lambert and Hilbert Lambert; her grandson William L. Creel, Jr.; her great grandchildren, Winston Avant and W. Trinity Creel; and her sons-in-law, David Vereen and Allen Roberts.

She is survived by: her siblings, Georgie Bell, Sara Jane and Benny Mae; her children, Winston "Gene" Avant (Patty) of Hemingway, Debra Creel (Lonnie) of Hemingway, Theresa Hodge (Bill) of Georgetown, Carolyn Avant of Georgetown and Denise Roberts-Vereen (David) of Conway; and her sisters, Minnie Lou Howell (Malachi), Sara Lowrimore (Franklin) and Peggy McDonald (Rocky). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren.
