She is survived by: her husband Richard E. Thames; her son Richard E. "Richie" Thames, II (Josie) of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Richard E. "Trey" Thames, III (Anna) of Lancaster and Cathryn Gale Thames of Georgetown; her great grandchildren, Calli Thames, Oliver Thames and Grayson Thames; her siblings, Sheri Van Vlake of Timmonsville and Rodger Reeves (Rosa) of Ft. Myers, FL; her siblings' children, Catherine Player Bone (Anthony) of Andrews, Katie Saggio (Eric) of Ft. Myers, FL, Ashley Gaede of Mt. Pleasant, Jenna McMillian of Hollywood, Millie Oldham, Ellis Wohlfarth, Lisa Avant of Hemingway, Richard Lee Van Vlake, II (Adrienne) and Rufus Thames of Bristol, VA; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Hank Van Vlake, Clint Van Vlake, Matthew Player, Case Bone, Hannah Van Vlake and Haylee Van Vlake; and her sisters-in-law, Patricia Query of Georgetown, Bonnie Anderson (Dana) of Georgetown, Robin Thomas (Marvin) of Weaversville, NC and Dr. Beverly Daniels of Columbia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Ringel Heights Baptist Church (78 County Rd S-22-393, Georgetown, SC 29440). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens (1640 Pennyroyal Rd, Georgetown, SC 29440).
