She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Gilliard and Hannah Gilliard of Georgetown, S. C.; her former husband Reverend Melvin E. Stallings; her husband Reverend Jeff Middleton; her siblings, Mildred Gilliard Britton, Ruth Gilliard Pollard, Walter Gilliard, Jr., William J. Gilliard, Benjamin Gilliard and Fred Gilliard; her niece Pamela Pollard; and her son-in-law Michael J. Richardson (Gwendolyn).
She is survived by: her daughters, Zenobia Stallings of Columbia, S. C and Gwendolyn Stallings Richardson of Columbia, S. C; and her brothers, Leroy Gilliard (Thelma), Roland Gilliard (Delphine) and David Gilliard. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Stephens Funeral Home (1767 Jefferies Hwy, Walterboro, SC 29488). A wake was held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ages C. M. E. Church (1103 Hampton St, Walterboro, SC 29488).
