She was predeceased by: her husband Barry Theodore Swails; her parents, Oscar Powell and Effie Ethridge Powell; her grandson Riley Barrett Swails; and her siblings, Helen Blackwood, Harold Powell and Hubert Powell.
She is survived by: her children, Russell Barry Swails (Tara Evans) of Georgetown, Myra Caddell (Johnny Bogan) of Georgetown and Raymond Blakely (Jan) of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Caddell of Moncks Corner, Hillary Elizabeth Caddell of Georgetown, Reece Barrett Swails (Maddy Ward) of Georgetown and Anna Dew Collins (Rob) of Georgetown; her sisters, Harriett Powell Coker of Andrews and Hulda Powell Hartley of Andrews; her sisters-in-law, Gladys Powell of Andrews and Jackie Smith; her close friend Betty Wells of Hemingway; Jean Supina (Eric) of Georgetown and Joy Pack (Bobby) of Georgetown. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
