He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Everette McCants and Carolyn Norton McCants. He is survived by: his wife Sue Thomas McCants; his children, James Micheal McCants (Brittany), Travis Miles McCants (Megan), Russ Newton (Shannon) of Macedonia and Emily Newton of Andrews; his grandchildren, Layton, Hayden, Colton, Rachel, Cooper, Loftyn and Emma Cole; and his sister Ann Newton (Mark) of Andrews. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
