He was predeceased by: his parents, John Graham Gardner, Sr. and Gertrude Graham Gardner; and his former wife Julia Phillips Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Sally Robinson of Georgetown, SC; his children, Allyson Suzanne Gardner of Columbia, SC, Carolyn Gardner Schultz (Robert) of Greenville, SC, John Graham Gardner, III and Kimberly of Lexington, SC; his grandchildren, John Wallace Schultz, Anna Rush Schultz, Reidy Gardner Schultz, Lillian Jeannine Gardner, John Graham Gardner, IV and Liam Berry; his sister Lois Geddings of Turbeville, SC; his stepchildren, Elizabeth Hale Seibert of Columbia, SC and Michael Berry of Florence, SC; and his former wife Carolyn Rush Splittgerber.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Mary's Episcopal Church (170 St Andrews Rd, Columbia, SC 29210). A reception will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
