He was predeceased by: his parents, James H. Gossett and Norma White Gossett; his granddaughter Brittany Sanders; and his siblings, James B. Gossett, Shirley J. Sellars and Patsy F. Beck.
He is survived by: his significant other Frances Shelley of Pawleys Island; his children, Candida "Candi" Smith of Union, Trampis Casey (Cate) of Union and Jewell Rivera (Luis) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Quindrick Holly of Charleston and Sgt. Austin Smith (Kayla) of Texas; his great grandchildren, Kyzer Smith and Aria Smith; his nieces, Peggy Terry and Martha Swafford; and his nephew Bill Gossett.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ridgeway Funeral Home (2918 Highmarket St, Georgetown, SC 29440). A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenhaven Memorial Gardens (12795 US-221, Woodruff, SC 29388).
