It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Katherine Ackles Taylor (Georgetown, South Carolina), who passed away on May 1, 2025, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Taylor; her parents, James Ackles and Madeline Morel Ackles; her granddaughter Kelsi Thomas; and her close friend Gayle Britt.
She is survived by: her children, Chelsea Thomas of North Carolina, Phillip Thomas of Georgetown and Nicole Thomas of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Gracin Farwell, Colton Thomas, Sebastian Brooks, Emily Thomas, Sequioa Locklear and Madeline McClary; and her brother Pearo Ackles of Beaver Dam, WI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Church of Christ (1786 N Fraser St, Georgetown, SC 29440). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
