Phillip Herrington Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phillip Herrington of Georgetown, South Carolina, who passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Wilbur Herrington and Florine Rheuark Herrington; his brother Charles Wilbur Herrington; and his brother-in-law Thomas James Powell. He is survived by: his wife Susan Powell Herrington; his sisters, Elaine McDaniel, Kathy H. Lambert, Lisa Rinehart (Gray) and Lori Herrington; and his extended family, Robert "Fritz" Powell (Laura) and Rebecca Lynn Odom (Chris). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McKenzie Funeral Home - Georgetown Chapel (2156 N Fraser St, Georgetown, SC 29440). A celebration of life was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens (1640 Pennyroyal Rd, Georgetown, SC 29440).
Phil battled numerous health issues which eventually led to Alzheimer's but he often found comfort in watching Gunsmoke with his fur baby Sable.
