Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Richard Harley Matthews (Georgetown, South Carolina), born in Hemingway, South Carolina, who passed away at the age of 60, on January 27, 2022. He was predeceased by: his father Kenith Merldon Matthews; and his brother Kenith "Banjo" Matthews, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Ogburn Matthews; his mother Betty Joyce Ard Matthews; his daughters, Tiffany and Crystal Matthews; and his siblings, Charlene Jordan, Pat and Tony Matthews. He is also survived by many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and godchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Saint Frances Animal Center at 125 Ridge Street Georgetown, SC 29440.
