He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Junior Nichols and Irene Murrell Nichols; his sister Carol Ann Nichols Matthews; and his son-in-law Rev. Daniel Joel Stone. He is survived by: his wife Marie Hill Nichols; his children, Robert Harold Nichols (Linda) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Kathryn Stone Peters (Patrick) of Florence, SC.; his grandchildren, Robert Stone, Sophie Nichols, Lanford Stone and Audrey Nichols; and his sister Pat Nichols Sadler (Dave).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (219 Cleland St, Georgetown, SC 29440). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Georgetown (219 Cleland St, Georgetown, SC 29440).
Memorial contributions can be made to the First Baptist Church of Georgetown or Charleston Southern University.
