He is survived by: his wife Kathy Lowrimore Sims; his children, Kathy Michelle Sims Oldaker (Jason) of Georgetown, Robert Leston of Georgetown and Sims III (Christy) of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Brittany Vause (Chris), Kathleen Oldaker, Robert L. "Bubba" Sims IV (Nora), Maddison Sims, Hailey Stanley, Brittany Stanley, Mariah Ann, Saylor, Saydie Mae and Lee; his sisters, Jimmie Faye Cannon of Georgetown and Runell Johnson of Georgetown; his sister-in-law Eloise "Ella" Sims of Georgetown; his father-in-law Rev. Franklin Lowrimore (Sarah Lambert); Ariella Hiedeman, Atalaya Hiedeman, Rosemary Sims and Robert L. "Beau" Sims V. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
