It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberta Nix Jones Taylor (Georgetown, South Carolina), who passed away on October 13, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron Nix and Mary Ellen Jackson Nix; her former husband Farrel Jones; and her sisters, Diane Wiggins, Jean Cumbie and Ellen Peeples.
She is survived by: her husband John C. "JC" Taylor; her son Phillip Jones (Shonna Carter) of Andrews; her stepchildren, Sharon Thomas (Allen) of Andrews, Charlene Carroll Andrews (Scott), Pam Amerson of Georgetown, Crystal Bell McCutcheon (Brian) of Andrews, Gwendolyn Taylor of Sumter, John Taylor, Jr. of Andrews, Carl Taylor of Andrews, Erica Kennedy (Archie) of Lake City and Dr. Emily Taylor of Wichita Falls, TX; her grandchildren, Brixton Jones and Ryker Carter; her brother AJ Nix (Lori); and her sister-in-law Elaine Ott. She is also survived by 13 step grandchildren; 30 step great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Saints Delight Pentecostal Holiness Church (8285 Saints Delight Rd, Andrews, SC 29510). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM at the Of Andrews Cemetery (5140 Kent Rd, Andrews, SC 29510).
