With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sylvia Hearl Parsons (Georgetown, South Carolina), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Virginia Hearl and Richard Hearl; her sisters, Peggy Camlin, Linda Floyd and Beth Duke; her husband Louis P. Parsons; and her daughter Joy Parsons.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen P. Thames (Tim) of Columbia, SC and Payton Parsons (Wendy) of Pawleys Island, SC; and her grandchildren, Alice Clark, Anna Parsons of Mac Thames, L. P and Ashley Parsons.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Georgetown Presbyterian Church (558 Black River Rd, Georgetown, SC 29440). A reception was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial donations to Georgetown Presbyterian Church or the Indigo Choral Society, two places where Sylvia shared her heart and her voice.
