He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Henry Mercer and Margaret Evelyn Wiggins Mercer; and his brother Ronald David "Ronnie" Mercer. He is survived by: his daughters, Michele M. Singleton (Derek) of Pawleys Island and Kristi M. Huestis (Ricky) of Socastee; his grandchildren, Clinton E. Singleton of Atlanta, GA, Christopher D. Singleton (Kyndal) of Flower Mound, TX and Emily A. Huestis of Socastee; his great grandchildren, Caden, Colton Singleton and Julia Singleton; and his siblings, E. Glenn Mercer (Kathy) of Barrington, IL, Mark A. Mercer (Amber) of Georgetown and Julie M. Sanderson (James) of Georgetown. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Lakewood Baptist Church (171 County Rd S-22-333, Georgetown, SC 29440). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery (5140 Kent Rd, Georgetown, SC 29440).
